Finding Portals
There are moments of alignment that feel like playing Super Mario Brothers—when, out of nowhere, you drop down a pipe and discover a hidden warp zone glittering with coins and 1-Ups. You weren’t looking for it, maybe just going about life as usual, and suddenly you’ve stumbled upon a secret portal—an opening into spacious potential. In this portal, the possibilities exhilarate and inspire you—you feel capable, aligned, and purposefully on your path.
But sometimes those portals feel impossibly far away. You remember the sweet spot where life once flowed—whether in your own life, or because you’ve seen it in others—but right now, on this level, the hidden doors feel out of reach. You may feel plateaued, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.
This is where therapy comes in: together, we listen for subtle clues as to where openings may be hidden, tending the seeds of resonance that point toward what feels most enlivening.
The Heart of My Approach
My work weaves Narrative Therapy, somatic awareness, and attunement to your inner wisdom. Clients often describe me as warm, grounding, and collaborative. I hold space for all of you to be welcome here—even the parts you’d like to know better, thought you’d forgotten, or sometimes find hardest to sit with.
Together, we notice how emotions and experiences live in the body, while also exploring the stories and “shoulds” that shape your life. From there, we open space to reauthor your story in ways that feel more possible, expansive, and True for you.
Storytelling & Language
Our lives are multi-storied—there are infinite narratives that can be true at once. Some are loud and visible, while others live quietly in the background, waiting to be heard. The words we use matter: they shape how we see ourselves and the world.
In therapy, we notice the stories you carry—especially the “shoulds,” the inner critic, or the saboteur voices that weigh you down. Together, we begin to untangle where those voices come from and open space for other stories—ones aligned with your values, your truth, and the possibilities you want for your life.
Body Language and Beyond
Stories don’t just live in the mind—they live in the body, too. Emotions, patterns, and even the things we can’t quite put into words often show up as sensations, body language, or subtle cues.
My approach weaves together somatic awareness, mindfulness, meditation, and space for creativity and intuition. Healing doesn’t always have to be rigid—it can be imaginative, metaphorical, even playful. Sometimes this shows up through story and language, other times through movement, imagery, or sensory experience.
I bring attention to both the physical and the subtle, so there’s room for many ways of knowing and exploring—always guided by what feels authentic and resonant for you.
Collaboration
I use the word client, not patient, because you are not a problem to be fixed—you are a whole person with stories, wisdom, and agency. My role is not to be the expert on your life, but to collaborate, listen deeply, and bring a flashlight to shine on what you want to explore.
Let’s create a space where you don’t have to filter yourself—where you can be a human being instead of a human doing. Together, we’ll slow down, listen closely, and notice the stories, patterns, and possibilities that shape your life. From there, we can explore what feels truest and most aligned for you—opening space for clarity, connection, and change.
Cave Metaphor
I often think of therapy like exploring a vast cave. You and I stand at the entrance together. I may be an experienced spelunker, but I’ve never been in your cave before. This is your terrain—you decide which tunnels to enter, the pace of exploration, and when to pause or shift directions.
My role is to accompany you, keep you company, and carry a light. Whether you’re ready to explore a grand cavern or a tiny hidden recess, we go together. Even the places that feel too dark, too scary, or too jagged to enter alone can become more navigable when explored side by side.
